Welcome to State GC Inc (also doing business as State Roofing & Carpentry). By accessing our website or hiring our services, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Services

We are a full-service general contractor specializing in residential and commercial projects, including:

• Roofing: Installations, repairs, inspections, and 24/7 emergency services.
• Siding: Installation and repair of siding, soffits, and fascia.
• Decking: Custom deck construction and remodeling.
• Remodeling & Framing: Room additions, interior/exterior renovations, and structural framing. Services are delivered based on a specific scope of work outlined in your contract or estimate.

2. Estimates & Scheduling

We provide free estimates. An on-site inspection is typically required to provide an accurate quote. While we strive to meet all deadlines, construction schedules are subject to weather conditions, permit approvals, and material availability. We reserve the right to reschedule for safety or unforeseen circumstances.

3. Payments

Payment terms, including deposits and milestone payments, will be clearly outlined in your service contract. We accept major payment methods as discussed during the contracting phase. All balances must be paid upon completion of the agreed scope of work.

4. Site Access & Preparation

The client is responsible for providing access to the property during scheduled work hours. For exterior work (roofing/siding), please ensure that vehicles are moved and fragile items are cleared from the work perimeter. We handle all site access with professionalism and respect for your property.

5. Insurance, Licensing & Massachusetts Consumer Rights

State GC Inc is fully licensed and insured to operate in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

• Liability: Any claims regarding property damage must be reported to us in writing within 48 hours of the occurrence or service completion.
• Consumer Protection: Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under Massachusetts law, including M.G.L. Chapter 93A (Consumer Protection Act) and M.G.L. Chapter 142A (Home Improvement Contractor Law).

6. Cancellations & Change Orders

• Cancellations: Requests to cancel a project must be submitted in writing. Deposits may be non-refundable if materials have been ordered or custom work has commenced.
• Change Orders: Any changes to the original scope of work must be agreed upon in writing and may result in additional costs and timeline adjustments.

7. Warranties & Satisfaction

We stand behind our craftsmanship and offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Specific manufacturer warranties apply to materials (such as roofing shingles or siding). If you have concerns about the workmanship, please contact us immediately so we can address it.

8. Limitation of Liability

State GC Inc is not responsible for damage caused by:

• Pre-existing structural issues or hidden rot.
• Normal wear and tear.
• Extreme weather events exceeding standard material ratings.
• Faulty materials supplied by third parties.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time to reflect changes in our business or legal requirements. Continued engagement of our services after updates constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
